My husband had been doing voiceover work for five years, when he told me I should give it a try. I had recently lost my job and I was going through a deep depression. I had loved my job and had worked there for three years in the finance department. But when the economy started going bad, I lost my job. So after looking for a job for about six months, I grew tired and depressed when I couldn’t find any work. So I took my husband seriously when he told me I should try getting a job doing voiceover work. I started out by making a demo CD that I would take around and get a job. My first audition was for a local radio ad for a car dealer. I was so surprised and happy when I got the job. It gave me confidence and made me want to get my next job.
